Ingredients
- All purpose flour – 200 gms
- Icing sugar – 50 gms
- Butter – 125 gms – room temperature
- Water – 1-2 tbsp
- Vanilla extract/essence – 1 tsp
- Chocolate chips – 10-15
- Chocos – 20-30
Method of preparation
- Weigh and sieve the flour and icing sugar to a bowl.
- Add the butter at room temperature and make a crumble mixture out of it without applying any pressure to the dough or kneading.
- Add the vanilla essence/extract and 1 tbsp of water.
- Lightly mix the mixture to make a dough like consistency. Don’t knead.
- Set aside for 5-10 minutes and meanwhile keep the chocos and chocolate chips ready to decorate the cookies.
- To a lined baking tray, roll the dough to small lemon sized balls or smaller and set them each one inch apart.
- Decorate the cookies as shown in the picture.
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius and bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes.
- Move them to a cooling rack to cool down and serve it with a hot cup of coffee or tea. Enjoy !!!!
Tips & Tricks
- This recipe does not need any kneading, or else the cooking might seem a bit rubbery.
- Mix the dough with light mixing just enough to bring the dough together.
- The cookie might seem soft after baking, don’t worry, it will harden once it is cooled down.
