All purpose flour -123 gms
Brown sugar -100 gms
White sugar – 100 gms
Cocoa powder – 40 gms
Baking powder – 3/4 teaspoon
Baking soda -3/4 teaspoon
Salt – a pinch
Instant coffee- 1 teaspoon
Egg – 1
Warm water – 1/2 cup
Warm milk – 1/2 cup
Flavourless oil – 1/4 cup
Vanila essence- 1 teaspoon
Method of preparation
- Seive and sift all the dry ingredients and set aside
- Whisk all the wet ingredients and set aside
- To the wet ingredients mixture add the dry ingredients mixture in portion of 3 and mix itbtill well blended.
- Mix in only one direction.
- Preheat the oven @ 180 degree celcius for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the cake batter to a greased and lines 9 inch pan. Tap on the counter to release any trapped air bubbles.
- Bake at 180 degree celcius for 25-35 minutes or till a toothpick or skewer inserted comes out clean.
